Pre-Procedure
Information and Advice
* Permanent makeup procedures normally require multiple treatment sessions. For the best results, clients will return for at least one finishing session. This will take place up to 8 weeks after the initial procedure and has a $75 service fee. Those with oily skin may require an additional touch up session. Please see studio policies for touch up fee rates post procedure. Please be aware that the colour intensity will be significantly darker and sharper immediately and a few days after the initial procedure, but the colour will typically reduce by 30-50% as the tattoo heals.

Although numbing cream is used during the procedure, sensitivity or discomfort may still be felt. Skin may be red, bruised and/or swollen after the procedure.
​
Please do not drink alcohol 24 hours prior to the treatment.
​
Unless medically necessary, please avoid taking things that thin the blood like fish oils, herbals, Vitamin E, and/or aspirin and do not donate plasma in the 7 days prior to the procedure.
​
Where possible, try to avoid the following herbs and spices prior to your appointment; Black pepper, Cardamom, any member of the Ginger family, Cayenne, Cinnamon, Horseradish, Mustard.

A patch test can be performed. It is the client's responsibility to schedule this at least one week prior to the procedure.
​
Clients prone to cold sores/fever blisters should take an anti-viral prior to treatment.
Hormone therapies can affect pigmentation and/or cause sensitivity.
​
Discontinue use of any brow or lash-growth serums such as Latisse or Revitalash as it can cause sensitivity/affects pigment retention.
​
Botox, AHA products and retinoids should be avoided for 2 weeks prior to the procedure.

Topical Anesthetic Advice:
Allergic reaction can occur from any anesthetics (lidocaine) used during the procedure. If you do suffer from an allergic reaction, you should contact your doctor immediately. Allergic reaction response may show through redness, swelling, rash, blistering, dryness or any other symptoms associated with an allergic reaction.
Numbness- We cannot accept responsibility if the area to be treated does not respond to the numbing cream. Each individual is different according to skin type. Some clients report the area to be completely numb, while others may experience some discomfort.

Lip Blushing Pre-Procedure
Please arrive at your appointment without ANY lip makeup/cosmetics. A thick layer of numbing cream will be applied and allowed to penetrate and take effect for 20-30 minutes.

Consultation:
Before the procedure, you will have a consultation with the artist to discuss your desired lip shape, colour and any concerns or questions you may have. The artist will also assess your skin tone, texture and overall health to determine the best pigment and technique for your lips.
​
Numbing:
The artist will apply a topical numbing cream to your lips to help reduce any discomfort during the procedure. The numbing cream may take up to 30 minutes to take effect.
​
Pigment Selection:
The artist will work with you to select the pigment colour that best matches your desired lip colour and skin tone.

Procedure:
Once the numbing cream has taken effect, the artist will begin the permanent makeup procedure. The artist will use a handheld device with a sterile needle to deposit the pigment into your lips. The procedure may take up to 2-3 hours, depending on the size of your lips and the desired results.
Brows Pre-Procedure
When you arrive at your appointment, a brow map will be customized by a series of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines, based on your skin's proportions and drawn on with an oil-based crayon, thus, framing the area within which hair-like strokes, shading and/or a combination of both will be micro-pigmented/tattooed into the dermis of the skin.

Consultation:
You will have a consultation with your permanent makeup artist to discuss you desired brow shape and colour. The artist will also examine your skin type and discuss any allergies or medical conditions you may have.

Numbing:
Before the procedure begins, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the brow area to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
​
Mapping:
The artist will use a crayon to outline the shape of your new brows, taking into account your natural brow shape and facial features.
​
Pigment application:
Using a handheld device with a small needle, the artist will apply pigment to the skin in small, hair-like strokes to create a natural looking brow shape.

Procedure:
Typically, this procedure takes between 1-2 hours to complete, depending on the complexity of the brow shape and the amount of pigment required. It is important to follow the aftercare instructions carefully to ensure proper healing and optimal results.

Eyeliner Pre Procedure
Please arrive at your appointment without ANY eye makeup/cosmetics INCLUDING lash extensions. A thick layer of numbing cream will be applied and allowed to penetrate and take effect within 20-30 minutes. After the anesthetic is carefully removed, a map will be pre drawn with an oil based crayon, demonstrating the area that will be micro-pigmented/tattooed into the dermis of the skin.

Although not very common, topical lidocaine used during the procedure can cause temporary pupil dilation, especially in clients with lighter coloured eyes. This may result in blurred vision for a few to several hours following the procedure. For this reason, you are required to have another person drive you home after the procedure. You will be asked prior to the application of lidocaine to confirm you have a safe ride home, if you do not, your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit will be claimed.

The artist will use a pencil to outline the shape of your new eyeliner, taking into account your natural eye shape and eyelash line.

Pigment application:
Using a handheld device with a small needle, the artist will apply pigment to the skin along the lash line to create a natural looking eyeliner.

Procedure:
The procedure typically takes between 1-2 hours to complete, depending on the complexity of the eyeliner shape and the amount of pigment needed. It is important to follow the aftercare instructions carefully to ensure proper healing and optimal results.
